Accommodation

accommodationsideEgerton Lodge Residential Home was originally built as a hunting box, before it was used as council offices. It was converted into a residential home for the elderly in 1987 by Joyce Wells.

It is a Grade II listed building occupying a prime site in the centre of Melton Mowbray overlooking the Town Memorial Gardens. The accommodation offers 43 bedrooms, all of which have en-suite WC, wash-hand basin and a television socket and phone line. The bedrooms are all newly decorated in attractive colour schemes with co-ordinated bed linen.

All beds have a call button above the bed and next to the WC.

Residents are encouraged to bring as many of their belongings (pictures and photographs etc) and furniture as possible to make the room their own. The home is fully carpeted with full central heating. Residents have a choice of lounges, overlooking the park or the busy main street.

There are pleasant gardens and terraces for sitting out on sunny days. A lift serves all 3 floors.

Egerton Lodge welcomes short stay residents or those requiring day care, as well as those who wish to stay long term.
